Rita...it's a federal holiday MLK Day.... public collages have off, all state and us government offices, public schools and usps

yes...its marked on most calenders.... for kids being off school... it's fun for kids...and those who appreciate the historic life and times and what he contributed as a whole.... MLK its a meaningful day. For everyone else... it's just another day. Some sports are on during the day line NBA too. Same reasons with Presidents Day in February

yes it is...but some parents are not happy...some have to take off work MLK day and others have to leave kids with grandparents/ neighbors or last resort..pay for daycare

We talk about it at my school with the kids. It’s definitely a very important holiday in our country, especially during this time. Hopefully, people this year will take the day to reflect the reason why we were given the day to celebrate the life of MLK.
