i agree. i would love to see some of the darker tone from the trailers, restored to the film, certain lines put back in, WW's spinning kick to the baddie put back in, and so much more that was cut. i just don't understand how they could cut so much material from the film. smh.

i'm a huge fan of both DC and Marvel comics, characters, and films, and i always liked that the DCEU went with the darker themes and looks, up until that whedon dude messed with JL. i like the Marvel films for what they are, and the DC films for their look and tone too. why did Warner Bros let whedon mess with the format?!

i would love to wake up one day, and hear breaking news that WB is releasing The Snyder Cut of JL!

I think the material they cut could have been really useful. I wonder who had a hand in the editing of the movie, because I feel like at least a few could have been left in and helped out the context of the rest of the movie.

I'm trying not to be too negative, so I'll just say I want Whedon away from every superhero franchise for all of time. And that's all I'll say.

Snyder cut or simply the release of all the deleted scenes!

no, JL was always a standalone film. the confusion is that the original JL director Zack Snyder, had to leave the production for hugely personal reasons, and the greedy execs at WB brought on the comical buffoon Joss Whedon, to finish out JL. he reshot a lot of scenes, dropped the darker [Darkseid] tone and added sometimes awkward comedy, and allowed WB to cut the film shorter than 2 hours in length, in order to maximize theater showings. well, we all know how that turned out.

what a lot of fans want, me included, is the original filmed scenes from ZS, the original darker look, Darkseid references and teases, the motherboxes as Steppenwolf's mother split in three, and all the footage removed from the film and made into four trailers only, restored to the ZS intended vision, and released as Justice League: The Zack Snyder Cut.

Zack Snyder was the writer and architect of the DCEU and it's non-MCU darker tone, much the same as Director Frank Darabont was the original writer and visionary director of Walking Dead Season 1, and AMC forced him out the door, changing the show and it's tone/story.
