I hope I'm wrong too. For me, it just went from "Yeah, I can't wait for this sequel!" and being so excited to not knowing what the hell is going on cause of this trial. Then that caused them to just screw over the Mera character. It all just seemed to get derailed so quickly SMH.

I am seeing the movie regardless of Mer'as involvement or not.
