I saw it was raining at the Aussie Open last night in Melbourne. By last night I mean in the Pacific Time Zone. What a win by Simona Halep over Kenin. She gets to face Venus Williams next.

Caroline Wozniacki lost though to Sharapova.

Oh well. If I can I'll go to the movies this month. I want to see ''Aquaman'' & ''Bohemian Rhapsody'' is playing in a theater not too far away. Not sure what to see other than those. I missed out on seeing ''Venom'' in a theater, so will see that 1 on DVD.

I guess. I mean Sharapova is a terrific player & though Caroline is ranked higher, it's still a challenge for her to beat Maria Sharapova. I don't consider it an upset also in part because Caroline has lost early in plenty of major tournaments before, so when it happens vs. 1 of the best tennis players in women's tennis then that's almost to be expected. Sharapova because of her suspension has her ranked 30th for this tournament which is a whole other thing.

Oh. The top 5 currently ranked WTA players are: Simona Halep of Romania, Angelique Kerber of Germany, Caroline Wozniack of Denmark, Naomi Osaka of Japan, & Sloane Stephens of the U.S. Caroline won last year's Australian Open to get her first Major Championship.
