the city had to bring some old bins for several of my neighbors, who never found their trash and recycle bins from the storm. i just don't understand how people can justify their idiocy, uh read that laziness, when we had an entire week to 10 days to prepare for the storm. there are no excuses for laziness when you have neighbors to consider. smh.

Pittsburgh Steelers of the AFC North. i was born in Pittsburgh but left Pennsylvania to join the service, stayed in Virginia which was my last duty station at the end of my four years in, because there was much better weather and beaches in Va. i had enough snow after 17 years growing up in Pittsburgh, ugh. the Steelers aren't doing so hot in 2018, but we did pull off a nice win yesterday, 41-17 over the Atlanta Falcons.

i'm a Pittsburgh Penguins hockey fan, though not quite as big a fan of them as i am the Steelers. i lost interest in baseball and basketball years ago, and have no interest in boxing, ufc, wrestling, other stuff like that ugh. i do occasionally tune in to gymnastics and figure skating, everytime the Olympics rolls around, love the power and grace of those athletes and sports. i have dabbled in tennis occasionally, too.

i have been working some extra hours for holiday spending money, and catching up on some backlog of unfinished work orders, due to forced down time from two hurricanes and lots of rained out workdays from July to November. we're getting winter weather here in Virginia, early this year. way early. makes you wonder about all this climate change debate, and the political types that deny it. no matter your political persuasion, we are altering the climate of this planet, it is in evidence especially in that last five years. droughts, wildfires, water crisis, glaciers receding, weather pattern shifts, earthquakes from oil shale fracking, and massive plastic pollution in the world's oceans. my head hurts thinking about it.
