wow, love the huge gif! i think Diana was displeased at seeing the animal's head on the pelt, like a trophy. Themyscirans used animal hides for leather and other materials, but they didn't parade the head around like some prize or trophy, there was a respect for the Animal Kingdom and Natural World, you could see that in the design of the city and the way the Amazons lived. i think Diana had little patience for trophies, sport 'hunters', and the depravity of mankind.

That's a really good analysis, and I agree. She very much disapproves at the disrespect for animals. She sees animals as those that are harmed only when necessary, for like you said, to keep warm and possibly for food.

thanks. i always viewed the Amazons in Themyscira, as a minimalist culture, that coexisted with the world around them, were ecologically motivated and kept their footprint as light as possible. they were environmentally aware of their standing and the island seemed pristine, as well as the water and air. love that!

I agree with your commentary about Themyscira. They do what they need, but they don't overdue anything. They train and live the way they need rather than what they want at the expense of everything around them.
