he was sincere with hannah and i didnt like how she yelled at him, i dont think he deserve that... but stealing her letters was mean. however, its not nearly as bad as what other people did.

the note confused me because hannah said he threw it away but we saw he still had it and not only that, it wasnt even crumpled, so its not like ehe went back and got it.... so are we to assume that hannah is an unreliable narrator and that maybe some of the stuff she said wasnt true?

is that an intentional lie on her part or did she just think he threw it away and us seeing it happen was more so clays imagination of the scene? i need an explanation on that.

I think she was confused. When they showed both sides, I then realized that I think what she saw was him crumpling up all the other notes that were hers, cause you have to remember he kept stealing the notes from her bag, she had a few others - it was when he saw the note specifically for him is what made him read it. So yeah, I think he kept his but tossed the others. Maybe if she picked it up she would've saw the note she gave to him was missing.

I agree with you all. I don't think Hannah was lying. She was telling the story from her perspective and because she kind of knew what kind of person he was, I think she assumed he threw it away.

I agree I don't think she was lying, it's just how she saw it. She was hurt. It kind of goes w/that saying that there's 2 sides to every story. That's how Hannah saw it but if we saw Zach's side I think it'd probably play out differently.

i think thats the point of the series too, in that, some of these people didnt realize how their actions all built up to hurt her that bad. like zachs stealing notes alone isn't that bad but when you pile it on top of everything else it makes sense.

I agree! What he did really wasn't that bad, but with everything else Hannah was dealing with it, it was another crushing blow.

It was just enough to push her over the edge and that is what is so sad about it cause deep down I don't think Zach is a bad person.
