Really? That's understandable, though. The DW fandom is pretty rare. It's a British sci-fi show that's been around since the 1960's & every couple of years/seasons, The Doctor "regenerates" & a different actor is brought on. That's how it's been able to be on the air for over 50 years. Anyway, Matt played the 11th Doctor & made history by being the youngest actor to play him (he was only 27 at the time)! I had no interest in ever watching DW, but when I saw promos with Matt in them, I'm like, "Oh! He's cute! I might have to check this out!"

Thanks for the info Jess! I rarely know anything about British TV shows, unless they're the Really Big Ones like Downton and Sherlock (both I also discovered relatively late).

I'm a David Tennant fan girl but I recommend S5 Episode 1 as the starting off point for anyone who is new to Doctor Who because it has a new Doctor (Matt) and new companion (showrunner too) so it was pretty exciting. S5 was also the season that really kicked it off being popular in the U.S. Although contrary to what Jessica said, I'd recommend after Matt's season, you watch all of David's run as the Doctor cause he's also pretty amazing. I only started watching DW last 2015 and have caught up with all 9 seasons of DW and now waiting for S10 next month. Each season is only 13 episodes so basically just like Netflix shows too.
