Sure, they fit everywhere, but I find the thread advantageous when I'm the last poster on other threads where it could fit. It's just another thread to post in.

And that's exactly why we didn't want it. We didn't want threads just because they were an easy place to post in. We wanted to have them to contribute to the topic we all care about, Tyler. Threads like that are easy to incorporate into other threads, like Holly and Jackie said, fan art as well. Why make a separate thread for that, if it could help keep another thread alive? We want all threads to be active, but we don't want threads to be there because they contribute to the post count. I hope that makes sense.

I know both systems now.. at katie we have a thread for nearly everything and some of them are just dead which is unnecessary just to post a gif to say it's nice or beautiful isn't really a good discussion.. also we could do that in any other thread.. gifs mostly fit in another thread too

What are you basing that statement on? has been awful these past days, plus it's the holiday season. December has always been one of the slowest months on fanforum in general, and judging from our numbers, we're still doing wonderful. I don't think it's something to be concerned about.

And as Jenn said before, if new threads need to be started (which I don't think they do), that's a decision to make by the new moderators.

Also, more threads doesn't always mean more posts. Especially if it's art threads. Those don't generate content.

We've got a small group. Hopefully more people come around after the holidays and Tyler gets more projects.
