YES! I would love for Stiles/Lydia to be at the loft and researching / putting together a new beastiary with the Argent info and other info. trying to figure out what's real and not from the interwebs and what they've dealt with. And Derek keeps them fed and hydrated and warm and tells them when something they read is BS. And eventually shares stories he knows is real. Stories from the family. Finds books for them that are true.

*grabby hands* Bonding combined with researching and making strategies is literally the dream. And it's something that was so easy and logical to do, like they want to make a beastiary so why not go to the person who has personal experience growing up in this world?

Also, there's the languages thing. Where a good portion of fandom believes Derek knows many languages. Which is in fact backed up /came from Araya Calavera.

"Tu hablas muchos idiomas, Derek Hale." You speak many languages, Derek Hale.

Which means Derek is very helpful to research and can check out the Argent beastary, too. Just because it's in the hunters book, doesn't mean it's real.

It pisses me off that people always assume that Derek is just the muscle and there to be broody. IF THE WRITERS WENT THROUGH ON THE HINTS THEY LAY OUT, IT COULD'VE BEEN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DYNAMIC.
