Ruthie is growing jealous of Cecelia and her mother (Annie's) relationship since Cecelia has been hanging out with her mother even more since Simon (her former boyfriend) has left town.

Simon is the one who left down during Martin's first episode and Martin lied about throwing a party and everything for him.

Sadly this is his last season. Season 7 was his first one, which I rather enjoyed him in. lol

Jeremy London character is "Chandler" and he was the pastor at the church when Eric (the father of the show) got sick.

Well clearly during those missing 4 episodes they must have got to know him a bit better since Eric Camden probably invited him to keep coming around.

HOWEVER, it also shows you that Martin was suppose to be around for only 1 episode.
They clearly changed his character a bit to fit Tyler personality. lol Even the baseball. lol

Martin Brewer was really made for Tyler.
