‘Stranger Things 2’: David Harbour Teases Giant Spider Monster & Sentient Upside Down



HEROIC HOLLYWOOD — Stranger Things star David Harbour has revealed that the giant spider monster glimpsed in the Super Bowl spot looming over the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana does exist and isn’t just something Will is seeing in a dream.

During a recent Dungeons & Dragons focused conversation with Nerdarchy, a YouTube channel dedicated to role-playing game enthusiasts, Harbour opened up about the upcoming season but was careful not to reveal any spoilers while teasing the giant spider-creature:

“There is this entity that we kind of reveal that exists in this world. People have been speculating whether or not it has to do with the Thessylhydra we talked about at the end of last season or what it really is but that’s just interesting to me in terms of the lore of D&D because the Demogorgon in Dungeons & Dragons is like a devil right? Like he’s a demon. So you have other ranks of demons…”
