Mike has his flaws like every teenager, people are allowed to not enjoy him but that's no reason to wish him the worst.

Anyway, I still him and I can't wait for his S5 arc.

I have seen alot of people hating on Mike in S4 and they all have their own reasons for not liking his character, some dislike him because they don't like how he had hurt El's feelings in S4, some dislike him for how bad he treated Will, and some just think his character has become "useless" or "pointless" because he didn't do much this season etc. It really saddens me to see so much hate Mike has been getting for S4 and I don't understand it, I think anyone who thinks Mike was "useless" and "pointless" this season clearly did not pay attention, Mike was the one who knew that the phone number for Nina was hiding inside the pen, and it was Mike's idea to ask for Suzie's help in hacking Nina. Without the phone number and Suzie's help they never would've found El in time and Max would've died and Hawkins would've been destroyed sooner. Mike is more smarter and useful than alot of his haters give him credit for that's for sure.

Yeah, I think people don't consider that the cast has gotten so big, not everyone is gonna have the same dramatic development every season, some characters may take a backseat to make room for another bigger storyline, and that's fine when you consider where these characters start the season. The time for Mike to shine again will come, I'm sure.

Also, I can get annoyed by my favorite characters, they're not perfect and definitely make mistakes, but that's all part of their journey, and as long as they show some growth and learn from those mistakes, I'll be happy. Mike is a kid who spent 2 seasons dealing with almost losing two very important people in his life, in such dramatic circumstances, I don't blame him for wanting to focus on his own world for now. Also, once he realized he was hurting his friends, he made amends and apologized, as he always does. He's still learning and evolving, give him a break.

I agree with you, the cast of characters have become so big on this show, I think it's good that each character get their own time to shine on the show, Mike got a lot of focus and attention in the first 3 seasons, so I didn't mind him taking more of a backseat in S4 for some of the other characters to shine. But I like that Mike still played a useful role in S4 even though he had been sidelined for much of the season. I think sometimes some people forget that these are just kids, they're still young, they still have flaws and make mistakes, they're not perfect, no one is perfect, and these kids are still growing and learning. But all this hate for Mike in S4 is really not warranted IMO, I think alot of people are not giving him enough credit in S4.

Oh definitely, Mike was not "useless", at all. He may not be the strongest but he never stops trying to help and save his friends, and he's definitely smart. Without his help and support there's no way Eleven would have been able to fight Vecna in time and Max would be inevitably dead.

I wouldn't say that mike is my fav on the show , but he is still a good character and he brings a lot to the show.

I think some people are not getting that he is teenage boy who is still trying to figure out who he is. He will make mistakes and he will learn from them as he goes.
