NFL Pick The Winners Thread 2012 Week 14(Deadline: THURSDAY, Dec. 6th, 8:30pm ET)
Welcome to the thirteenth season of the NFL “Pick the Winners” game here at the Sports board! For those who have played this game before, you know how the drill goes. If you are new to the game, it’s pretty simple. During each week of the season, there will be a thread posted with that week’s slate of games. It is your job to pick the winner of each match-up and place a point value on it. This week there are 16 games on the schedule. You would allocate your points from the game you are most confident in (16 pts.) to the game you view as a toss-up (1 pt.). *You may not place the same point value on more than one game. It should be in decreasing value from 16 to 1.*
At the conclusion of each week, we will add up the total points and crown a “Pick the Winners” champion. Over the course of the season, we will keep a list of the weekly champions and a running point total for each participant. At the end of the season, the person(s) with the highest point total and/or most weekly championships will be crowned the season winner. Sounds pretty simple, right? So, join in! If you have any questions, feel free to ask here. Remember, you must have your picks posted by the deadline listed, so make sure to double-check to make sure your picks are correct before then. Also, once the deadline listed passes, your picks are locked in. Really important to get picks in before deadline each week this season, as the NFL expanded the Thursday night schedule to almost the entire season. Again, double-check your picks to make absolutely sure that you have all the teams you want to pick and the numbers from 1 to 16. Updated standings after Week 13: Hot Rod: 1,043 pts.(120-71-1) blondebombshell: 1,030 pts.(119-72-1) BearDogg-X: 1,020 pts.(123-68-1) cls21c: 1,012 pts.(116-75-1) Avatar: 991 pts.(113-78-1) Chasity05: 914 pts.(104-87-1) canflam: 896 pts.(101-90-1) NOLA504: 891 pts.(101-76-1) Matt Logan: 886 pts.(105-58-1) MsCyatt: 880 pts.(102-59-1) RedRooster: 668 pts.(81-50-1) Andie: 619 pts.(76-56) BB.: 88 pts.(9-7) Weekly winners: Week 1: Matt Logan Week 2: Avatar Week 3: Matt Logan Week 4: cls21c Week 5: cls21c & Hot Rod Week 6: Andie Week 7: Hot Rod Week 8: Avatar Week 9: Ms Cyatt Week 10: canflam Week 11: Ms Cyatt Week 12: Avatar Week 13: Avatar Week 14 Games: Thursday night Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders Sunday Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers Baltimore Ravens at Washington Redskins St. Louis Rams at Buffalo Bills Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings Dallas Cowboys at Cincinnati Bengals Kansas City Chiefs at Cleveland Browns Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts New York Jets at Jacksonville Jaguars Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers San Diego Chargers at Pittsburgh Steelers Miami Dolphins at San Francisco 49ers Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks New Orleans Saints at New York Giants Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers Monday night Houston Texans at New England Patriots __________________

I'm excited about Monday. You said never a doubt at home for the Patriots though, but there are doubts about the Patriots pass rush. Similar to Tom Brady, Matt Schaub has rarely been sacked this year. On offense for the Patriots, I'm interested to see how Brandon Lloyd does. If the Texans win on Monday do you think that will because of Gronkowski not being able to play in their game?
