Talking 49'rs Rams of Redskins / Giants ? MNF game could be a playoff preview .

Patriots Despite two big wins in 4 days ,at Miami, tend to be close games .

49'rs picked the QB for next few weeks Colin Kaepernick .Harbaugh said he has played well in the past 3 weeks so he gets the nod . Stellers big Ben still out for at least another week, practiced lightly but all reports say he isn't ready

Harbaugh just announced Colin as the starting QB against the Rams. He specifically didn't say that he was the starter for the rest of the regular season games.

Personally, I think he is, but still, Harbaugh hasn't officially say it yet. The media (and everyone else) will just run with it like they do everything else.

I just don't want the QB controversy or all the hype/discussion over the entire thing although it's inevitable. It's one of the things I *hate* hearing the most about the Jets (although at least I can say that Colin and Alex are better than Tim and Mark, LOL).

Sucks for Alex, he finally get's into a system where he's playing pretty good. Then losing his starting job cause of injury.

let's go Saints!!! must win tonight to keep out playoff hopes alive!

Well sorry The Saints didn't do it tonight 23-13 Drew threw 5 picks . Late fumble for TD but play was called dead otherwise Saints would have been down only 3 with 2 min left Falcons now 11-1 Which if Tampa loses clinches the division . San Francisco with 8-2 record still very much in there for #1 seed in NFC .

This weekend many teams can clintch playoff of division Patriots Houston Denver ..

Niki interesting take on 49'rs change in QB and Smith reaction and talk from reporter of what has gone down http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/86...t-starting-job

I said it on my twitter and on another forum, but you can't give away games like that, especially with the season on the line and especially against a hated rival. Brees gave away two games with 7 INT's in the last five days.

My take on the Niners QB change: Niners are still winning games. If they had lost both games Kaepernick started, I think Alex Smith would gotten back the starter's job. As is, I think it was a good move to keep Kaepernick as starter for now. Smith was good when Harbaugh gave him the opportunity and didn't pull him after a bad performance like Singletary and Nolan did and it also helped Smith that the Niners kept an offensive system in place for longer than a year.

Thanks for the link.

I will take whatever QB will help to win us games and I am really glad that we have two good QBs that can start, but I feel bad for Alex. I cannot blame him for being upset especially when technically, he did nothing to lose his starting job for this week against the Rams. I don't want Colin to have a bad game and then Alex starts again. That will just piss me off. That being said, I still think Harbaugh is a phenomenal coach and I am trusting his gut on this call.

I think it's pretty despicable of Harbaugh actually. Colin has a few great games and he's treated like the messiah over Alex who's been solid for the whole season?

As Niki pointed out if he fails then Smith will take over .
Back in 2001 history fate took over , as Patriots QB Drew Bledsoe was injured. Then unknown QB Tom Brady took over . Despite that Bledsoe returned in AFC Championship game winning on the roac. He was not starting QB in the SuperBowl.

History in the NFL will show Similar changes.

NFL Playoff Picture entering Week 13:

Current playoff seedings:

AFC
1) Houston
2) Baltimore

6) Pittsburgh at 3) New England
5) Indianapolis at 4) Denver

Tiebreakers: New England beat Denver Week 5
Pittsburgh beat Cincinnati Week 7

NFC
1) Atlanta
2) San Francisco

6) Seattle at 3) Chicago
5) Green Bay at 4) NY Giants

Tiebreakers: Seattle and Tampa Bay both beat Minnesota
Seattle has a better NFC record than Tampa Bay(Seahawks are 4-4, Buccaneers are 3-5)

Here are all the playoff berth clinching scenarios for Week 13:

Win and in:
New England- Patriots clinch the AFC East with a win.

Baltimore- Ravens clinch a playoff berth with a win or a tie, a Bengals loss, and a Dolphins loss or tie. The Ravens can also clinch the AFC North with a win and a Bengals loss.

Denver- Broncos clinch the AFC West with a win or a Chargers loss or a tie and a Chargers loss or tie.

Houston - Texans clinch a playoff berth with a win or a tie or losses by the Steelers and Bengals or losses or ties by the Dolphins and either the Steelers or Bengals.

Win and need help:

Atlanta(Before last night's game): The Falcons clinch a playoff berth with a win and a Seahawks loss or tie or a tie and losses by both the Seahawks and Vikings. The Falcons can clinch the NFC South with a win and a Buccaneers loss or tie or a tie and a Buccaneers loss.

As of today, the Falcons now only need a Seahawks loss or tie to clinch a playoff berth and a Buccaneers loss or tie to win the NFC South.

The only team officially eliminated from playoff contention going into Week 13 are the Kansas City Chiefs.

The current 2013 Draft Order as of the end of the Panthers-Eagles game:

1) Kansas City
2) Jacksonville
3) Philadelphia
4) Oakland
5) Cleveland
6) Carolina
7) San Diego
8) Buffalo
9) Tennessee
10) Detroit
11) Arizona
12) New York Jets
13) St. Louis
14) Miami
15) New Orleans
16) St. Louis (from Washington-RG3 trade)
17) Dallas
18) (tie) Tampa Bay
18) (tie) Cincinnati
20) Minnesota
