The decision to quit by Guardiola didn't come as a surprise to me. He mentioned leaning towards leaving late in the fall last year. The season hasn't gone that well for Barca and I reckon it is best for them both to split. Guardiola thinks about taking a one year break, would be a great opportunity for him to learn German. Heynckess will retire at the end of next season. Wishful thinking? You BET!

Rather unexciting game for us today. Butt will get his farewell game and plenty of rotation to be expected. Planning my trip to Munich already...even though I live pretty close.

Congrats on the Hammers` win earlier today Tracy. However it was all for naught as Southampton won their match, which clinched the second automatic promotion to the EPL. So the Hammers will now head into a playoff with Blackpool, Birmingham and Cardiff.

Meanwhile in the EPL, we got a big surprise as Wigan shockingly routed Newcastle 4-0. Wigan continued their good play with another big win, which helped get them three points clear of the danger zone. On the other hand, the loss proved to be costly for Newcastle, who are in a battle for fourth place, which is the last spot for the Champions League, with Tottenham, who will take on Blackburn tomorrow.

Arsenal had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Stoke. RVP scored the tying goal, but the Gunners wasn`t able to break through to get the lead. With Newcastle`s loss, the Gunners extended their lead over the Magpies to four points and seven points over Spurs.

Ok have to say well done to Southampton , you pipped us to the post, our own fault really..hopefully this recently good form we had will hold us in good stead for the play-off's, got 2 tough games against Cardiff..

My the Première League went goal crazy today and must admit that Wigan result , they are on a bit of a run..
