I am all for a playoff (though how they are going to work it w/ the SEC probably having the top teams every year, for now IDK), but are there theories about if it will work or not? I am still on the fence I guess. It is the off season (dreaded off season) so ain't that much to talk about. The coordinator from FL that dissed Saban the other day, asinine imo) has created a stir lately...like this video: Saban Compared To Satan - YouTube __________________

I have some Auburn fans in my family and it`s always a lot of fun to do a lot bragging whenever Bama beats the Tigers, although this past season i didn`t do all that much bragging given how bad the Tigers were.
Also i`ve heard about that Florida assistant coach comparing Coach Saban to Satan. Honest who the hell cares what a complete no body douchebag assistant for an obviously inferior team like Florida has to say? If i were to see him in person, i would give him a good punch in the mouth and take a pic of him lying on the ground for Coach Saban. __________________

We got some big news out of South Bend as Notre Dame starting quarterback Everett Golson is no longer enrolled at school. No reason has been given for it yet. BTW Tommy Rees is the top candidate to get the starting quarterback position, followed by Andrew Hendrix.

I guess having rankings before their teams play any games gives us something to chat about, but if your favorite school isn't ranked now they can still make the National Title game apparently as Notre Dame did.

Yep they're pretty much meaningless right now Tho I would agree Alabama should be #1 but there is still some unknown about them as well.

I`m very fired up that the college football season is finally here. I hope that everyone will be sure to post here a lot during the season to express your thoughts about your favorite teams. I really would love to have more people posting here. Of course i`m eagerly awaiting Alabama beginning their quest for the Treble as they will take on Virginia Tech in the Chick-Fil-A Classic in Atlanta on Saturday.

What a win by Mississippi last night! Will be very impressed if they win vs. Texas & Alabama next month. Going to be tough for the Huskies to win vs. Boise ST. tomorrow without Austin Sefarian-Jenkins available. How about A&M suspending their QB for a whole half in their first game this season. Good for them.

Great wins by Clemson & the Huskies yesterday! Almost feel bad for the Beavers losing to Eastern Washington in Corvalis, since they also had pay that school hundreds of thousand dollars to play vs. them there. Similar situation with the Ducks yesterday, except Oregon steam rolled their opponent. Cougars almost got an upset win in Auburn. Tough loss for Cal. Malcolm Mitchell is expected to miss the remaining games for his team this year with an ACL injury.

Congrats on Washington`s win over Boise State last night. They looked impressive in surprisingly routing the Broncos.
Alabama got it`s quest for the Treble underway by routing Virginia Tech 35-10. I have to say that while i`m glad that the Tide won, i`m disappointed with how lackluster the offense looked, especially on the line. The special team was very good with Christian Jones returning a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns and the defense played well for the most part, outside of giving up a long touchdown run. It was nice to see Bama get the win, but at the same time, they have a lot of work to do on offense. The Clemson-Georgia game really lived up to expectations, with it being a shootout. The Tigers came through with some crucial plays to pull out the win, while the Dawgs are going to be kicking themselves over that botched snap on a field goal that could`ve tied the game. One of the best stories in the opening week has been the number of FCS teams beating FBS teams. As mentioned earlier, Eastern Washington upset Oregon State 49-46, while two time FCS National Champions North Dakota State defeated Kansas State 24-21 on Friday night, Towson defeated Uconn 33-18 on Thursday night and McNeese State shockingly routed South Florida 53-21. Eastern Washington had played Washington and Washington State tough in the last couple of years and the Eagles finally came through with a huge win. __________________
