Well, I was surprised to learn that Caroline is retiring from tennis at this time, but if she wants to have & raise children it makes sense for her to call it quits at this time. I do thank her for some great memories. That Aussie Open final she won vs. Simona Halep is 1 of my all time favourite tennis matches. Wish her well with everything.

I'm still gutted by Caroline's loss.
 I felt that she could go on a run into the second week and what makes the loss painful is that she missed out on a golden opportunity for an even deeper run with Serena Williams' loss. Still I'm very proud of Caro and happy that she went out on her own terms. I hope that she will have a great new chapter with David and the family. Plus I hope that we'll still see her around the game as an analyst and/or commentator on ESPN. Caro would fit in nicely there with insight and overall charisma. __________________

I am too. It is so great to see her back.
Judging from the draw at the U.S. Open, Caro will play a qualifier and if she wins that match, she will likely face Petra Kvitova. I hope that Caro can get a win, show some of the old magic and have some fun at the U.S. Open. Also here is a nice story about Caro's daughter, Olivia, catching the tennis bug. __________________

She played Kvitova in the 2nd round so that was tough. Caroline won though.
