But Jasper is one of their kids, he's unruly and troubled and the youngest of the litter. It's hard work being parents.

Yeah, Murphy held a knife at Clarke's throat remember, threatening murder and he also threatened to hang Jasper and later hung Bellamy as revenge. And he pulled the old 'kill you with virus' on their asses, plus murdered those two kids when they were too sick from virus to defend themselves (suffocated them with pillows, or strangled them, can't quite remember), pissed on the black guy that he later murdered, and later shot Raven and permanently disabled her and now she's in constant pain because of him.

No wonder they kicked him out of the house.
