That’s because it probably won’t. They’ll linger into season 7, which is gonna be a bummer for me, but I still have hope for a Bellarke endgame, because it’s the only thing that makes sense with what’s all been written.

Mel, we actually have no idea how long they’ve been dating, because it was one of those things that happened in the time jump—yay. But I seem to recall her saying it took him 3 years to forgive her or something. So it’s not more than 3, could even be less. I don’t know. (I don’t care, tbh.)

This sounds really bad to say, but I also would not care if Bellamy cheated at this point. I don’t think he will, and I’d obviously prefer it if he didn’t. But I’m just so vehemently opposed to that ship that I wouldn’t really be that bothered by it. Like I said, that sounds really had to say, but hey, in the interest of honesty . . .

Oh yeah, that's true. But the point still stands. In show it's a long time and they'll need to drag it out and just let them break up.

So well said, Mel!! I would be perfectly happy (as I’ve said many times before) if Bellarke were written platonically and I wouldn’t expect anything more or be frustrated if the never turn romantic. But the fact of the matter is that we are clearly not expected to see them as platonic. Period. So for the writing to subvert this progression at some point ... it just wouldn’t make any sense.

That’s the thing right now is time. I just don’t see them having “time” to break up in the last four episodes. I mean, I’d happily be proven wrong, but I’ve just lowered my hopes for it.

Yeah, honestly I might not even need a Bellarke confession ... mainly for Becho to break up first (without there being any external factors behind it). And then Bellarke can get together next season (but we need to get some clear signs by the finale, for it to make sense).

It already makes sense to me. We’ve gotten so many signs. Literally so many. And it just feels so blatant this season.

I’m just gonna post what I posted in the other Bellarke thread:



Mother****ing lord, this is . . . WOW. I feel deceased in the best way possible. This might be my new favorite Bellarke scene. Last season, it was the “She is” scene that did me in. Now it’s this one. I cried. I screamed. I ran straight out the door to my friend’s house to rewatch immediately. We watched the last scene so many times.

I don’t even know where to begin. Just a couple things off the top of my head . . .

I was shook when I heard Gabriel say stuff about the head and the heart, but I thought I was just being my shipper self, and then Bellamy just took it and ran with it, and I just sat there watching in stunned and happy disbelief. He kept his promise to save her. He literally was her heart there. It wasn’t beating, so he made it beat. And she fought back in the mindspace. Even when she was technically dead, the head and the heart found a way to work together.

Oh, and the fact that she heard him telling her to keep fighting . . .

Bellamy telling Clarke “I need you” after saying he didn’t need her in 6x02 . . .

The opposing parallels of Gabriel telling Josephine he had to let her go, and Bellamy yelling that he wouldn’t let Clarke go. Gabriel sacrificing the woman he loved for centuries and Bellamy saving the woman he has loved for over a century now . . .

Octavia’s 2x05 reminiscent face as she watches her brother just love someone completely.

The HUG! The look on their faces as they just cry and hold each other. It’s as if, in that moment, nothing else matters. Because nothing else does.

They are SO ****ING EPIC. This is THE ship, you guys. They are IT.

I haven't seen the scene yet, just gifs and I swear my heart has been beating out of my chest since 4 am. This scene just had it all. It had the "I need you" moment to contradict 6x02 which we've all been hoping for and saying "wouldn't it be epic if he said that and then Clarke came back." and now I'm just sitting here like wtf.

I don't know how to process this scene completely, I'm going to need to read everything, watch all reactions, listen to all the podcasts but mostly, I'm going to need for Bellarke to not be platonic because ok. After last week it just seemed baiting and ridiculous, but after this week????? If this is stilll platonic some of the writing staff and creating team need to re-evaluate their real life friendships because ya know....


I'm soooo excited now for next week, first SDCC and then more Bellarke and it being directed by Bob, bring it on.
