A quote that truly helped shape my life. I watched this show when I was just stepping into adolescence.
5th, 6th, and 7th grade, I lived and breathed Roswell (and to some extent, I still do.) The funny thing is,
Max isn't even my favorite character. Nope, that distinction belongs to my man Michael Guerin, who is
my favorite character of all time. But this quote really struck a chord with me, because I heard it at a time
in my life when, just simply due to my age, I was questioning who I was, if I fit in, or if I even wanted to.
And this quote, this show in general, made me realize that there is nothing is so great about normal,
and instead, it's being an abnormal, unique person that is actually far more special and interesting.

Spike is, in my mind, probably the most brilliant television character ever created, played to perfection
by a man I was fortunate enough to meet this summer. He has some incredibly good quotes out there,
some of which are humorous, like this one, and others which are more serious. Ultimately, this quote
is just my absolute favorite Spike quote. It's got attitude, just like he does, but even though he calls
Buffy a bitch here, he's actually got a huge crush on her, and it just makes me laugh every time because
he's such a crushed out school boy. And even though he likes her, part of him still can't stand her, too.

Probably the best opening monologue I've ever heard on any show. It's haunting, chilling, and perfect.
The fact that it's delivered by one of the show's most memorable villains helps it have lasting impact.
It's used to frame one of the show's most memorable episodes, spoken at both the beginning and the end.
Angelus may be the bad guy here, but he gets it. He gets passion. I love this quote so much that I
was even inspired to use "Passion" as the title for one of my Roswell fanfics, the most popular fanfic
I have ever written by far. It's a quote that really resonates. As haunting as it is, it's also beautiful.

Nathan and Haley may be my favorite One Tree Hill characters, but it's this quote from the tortured Peyton
that stands the test of time as my all-time favorite. Like many One Tree Hill quotes, it is set over footage
of a gorgeous coda of scenes, but unlike some other closing monologues, I think the quote here is actually
more impactful than the visual images of the scenes on screen (though those are really great, too).
It's just such an amazing message that really resonates. There are so many people in this whole world,
so many people who are struggling with the choices they make, struggling to find where they belong.
But sometimes all it takes is one special person. Sometimes one person can change your entire life.

Quite simply, one of the most beautiful expressions of love I have ever seen between a couple on TV.
Michael and Maria are my OTP, my all-time favorite love story. They may not have been the mains,
but they have a huge and passionate fanbase because of scenes like this and quotes like this one.
Max and Liz have the whole star-crossed love thing going on, but M+M's relationship is so different.
Personally, I find it much more realistic and relatable. He's an alien, but their relationship is so human.
This guy is my favorite character of all time. He's guarded and closed off, protective of his own heart.
He's very much like Bellamy Blake in that he thinks with his heart, so to speak. He tries so hard
to be free of emotion, yet all he ever does is feel. And what he feels for Maria DeLuca, in particular,
is so strong that, when confronted with his last night on earth, all he wants to do is open up to her.
He does, and what follows this dialogue is a touching sequence where he basically lets her into his mind,
and she is able to see herself in the way that he sees her. She sees herself at the center of his thoughts.

Well, I think he's all 3 of those things.

I'd say his biggest traits are that he's loyal, vulnerable, impulsive . . . pretty much ruled by his heart and his emotions, much like Bellamy. He's pretty funny, though, too. And I swear, the actor who plays him (Brendan Fehr) has, like, the most glorious kissing technique.

It's perfect. And James's delivery of it is so spot on. I love that man. Meeting him was seriously a life highlight.

I also love what she says to Lucas in 3x16 about how all the reporters and the experts and the analysts are going to come now, but they won't be able to make sense of what happened. And what she says in . . . 2x10, I believe it is? Where she's explaining to Anna her reasoning for standing up and fighting back against what was written on her locker.

I agree that Michael is a lot like Bellamy. Hes hot.

I love Michael Guerin more than words can describe, and it gets me excited thinking about all that he and Bellamy have in common!

Sorry about all the swearing here, ha!
So basically this is my fave quote ever because growing up I was such an angry kid,
and I guess I'm an angry adult too.
But Cook helped me channel all that anger,
I connected so deeply with this character,
he's me in every way. He made me feel less alone,
less misunderstood, less scared of myself.
Seeing him and knowing it's not just me who's angry and messed up.
Seeing his messed up relationships with his parents really resonated with me
cause I'm the same. My mum is always belittling me, my dad never wanted me,
I used to answer with my fists, I've broken bones, had fights,
drank myself into oblivion and here was Cook showing me I'm not alone.

This quote means so much to me for many reasons, one being I can't stand when hold woman accountable for their actions and them "being a better man" be a better man for yourself you idiot. The quote speaks for itself, it's NOT A WOMAN'S job to make men better, and they can't blame women when they mess up. But more importantly this quote is everything because we underestimate the amount of women who are sexually abused. I can't count the amount of times a man has done things to me I didn't want, sometimes it can be so small and benign and other times it's so unbelievably painful and Jenny calls him on that and I adore her for it. Her arc in season 2 was incredible and helped me so much. I'm actually really similar to Jenny.

This quote hit me like a bus when I first heard it because I didn't realise I was doing this. I'm so angry all the time, I pick fights with people, my friends, my family, people I love. It's like if I let go off all this anger inside I'll be left with nothing but an empty feeling so instead I'm angry all the time. I'm actually terrified of being happy so instead I sabotage everything. What if I put that anger down and it's all for nothing? But this is why we watch TV? To hold on to anything familiar to feel less alone in your thoughts.

So basically, the reason I love this show so much is because I see it as a huge metaphor for alcoholism. It's the same thing, they're addicted to blood and well, I'm addicted to drugs and alcohol, you name it, I've tried it. Ecstasy and cocaine were my worse ones but I'm almost 3 months clean. This is why I adore Stefan and this quote and the entire "ripper arc". It speaks to me in ways you can not imagine. This quote sends chills down my spine when translated to what it means to me personally. Again I love this quote because it made me feel less alone. Even in this surreal world.

Stefan still struggles with this every day, and he always will. Same as me, I still drink, I'm a functioning alcoholic and I don't think I'll ever stop, because after what I've been through I would have by now but I haven't, sad really.

Who needs easy love, right? I've never really been into "easy uncomplicated" people because I get bored easily. Makes me a sucker for punishment though. I like dark and complicated souls, partly because I'm terrified of commitment, but mainly because I'm like that too and I want to be with someone else who understands. This show came out when I was 17 and in some complicated relationships with "messed up" people. And guess what it taught me? Where not messed up, we're not ****ed up. We're just people, doing the best we can with what we have. And that two broken and complicated souls can actually help each other.
