And a pivotal episode for both of them. Bellamy in particular, though, I think, because it showed why he is the way he is.

We definitely needed that insight into their backstory, otherwise their relationship just wouldn't be as compelling and layered as it is now.

The flashbacks also helped to understand Bellamy better and add layers to him.

Most definitely. I’d say that is one of the most pivotal Bellamy episodes.

For sure, it was one of the defining Bellamy episode because it set the stage for who he is on the Ground and also highlighted how crucial his relationship with Octavia is.

I prefer Day Trip because it focused more on Bellamy as an individual, on his vulnerability and all the guilt that was eating him up but His Sister's Keeper explained to the audience why he was so protective of Octavia and their flashbacks are one of the best the show had.

Yep, that is definitely my favorite flashback episode. All in all, I prefer Day Trip, too, but I love seeing the softer side of Bellamy in 1x06.
