Today was such a mixed bag of feelings. Okay morning, tough and stressful afternoon. Some days I just come home and question my life choices.

Yes, thank goodness tomorrow is Friday. Although on Saturday, I'm going to an education hiring fair, and pretty much everyone in my graduating cohort as well as anyone else who knows about it will be there, so competition is tough, and I feel ill prepared even though I've gone to workshops and talked to many mentors and colleagues. It's like we're all competing but also rooting for each other.

that sounds like a busy but also helpful workshop. when are you finished with your studies?

In May. It's coming at me too quickly. I'm ready to be done, but I'm also not ready.

May, that's close i know that feeling, it felt really weird when i graduated once and for all and suddenly wasn't a student. but it's an excitingnew chapter in life and a necessary one.

do you have a final exam or test or are you just ready and finished?

I don't have finals, per se, but I do have a culminating assessment done through the state, not my university. I have to pass my courses, of course, but passing my state assessment is the big, looming component. It's due April 4th, so it's coming up quickly. After that is turned in, I'll have a couple more assignments to turn in, but really I'll just be finishing out the school year with my students and looking for a full-time position for next school year.

Nope! I want to stay sort of close, or within a few hours, of where I am now. It all depends on who is hiring and if they're a good fit for me/if I fit with them. I'm going to a hiring/recruitment fair on Saturday, though, so hopefully I make some good connections/networking opportunities.
