It's better to keep your windows closed when it's very hot outside. Unless you want even more hot air in your rooms.

Here in UK, people don't think like that... they'll just open the windows

At night yes. During the day i have air conditioning.

Yeh I have air con too. But I don't always use it. Alot of houses here don't come with air con, it's not a general thing to add to houses when being built. Is very rare to see houses here with air con. I used mine yesterday

Do many houses in Germany have it build in then..?

No mostly not. I think that is only a thing in the US. Mine is an airconditioner with a tube.

IDK if they’re common in new builds here, but I would think they are at least in the valley and the southwest cause of the temps. Most apartments have them at least.

Europe has different type of heat, though, so it is probably a bit manageable without air con sometimes.
