They'll do 9. Just based on the fact that the writers haven't wrote for season 8 to be the finale. I know shows get canceled all the time, but the ratings for FTWD are low, only in comparison to the main show. It still does better than pretty much ever other AMC original

I have no clue how that works but all I know his too many good shows get canceled or not even a chance for more seasons where else shows who suck get like endless seasons
