I'm wondering how much of the last two/three episodes was introduced for the new showrunners so they can hit the ground running. The Proctors, for example, and that pickaxe lady. They seemed (to me anyway) to be given too much TV time to just be thrown away. And that talk about a trade route to Houston will likely be important, say if Alicia is captured and brought along with the Proctor leader to survey the route, and maybe eventually the TWD cross-over.

I also see Alicia getting close to Strand and Nick getting close to Daniel, but at this point I think Alicia and Nick are just so fed up with their mother's drama and violence that they won't be able to follow her lead with confidence.

i expect them to have split the group up again. Nick/Daniel, Alicia/Strand then Madison will run into Luciana. should make for interesting plots.

Yep. Daniel will show Nick how to fight and be a badass. Grow tight. Alicia and Strand become best buds. And survive. Madison will either meet with Luciana or Alicia's new friend Diana.
Somewhere they will all meet up. And Daniel vs strand. Daniel will eventually die. Family fight off proctors.
