honestly i thought they would kiss in that scene but i am glad they didn't. it would have been to early. and the bow, this signal of Lexa, meant so much more than a kiss. we never saw her as vulnerable as in that scene. she basically gave herself to Clarke and proved her how sorry she was that she betrayed her. it was such an emotional scene for me. i remember me posting after that episode that this season is already the best season the 100 had so far. funny :lmao: till this episode the show was perfect.

That scene was really the moment that I knew Clexa had a strong hold on my heart and I was in deep with my shipper feels. I expected them to kiss, too, or at least have an almost kiss... but you are right, it is more impactful without a kiss. Lexa, who is known to be wise and strong and never give in to practically anyone, gives in to Clarke, who she's only known for a few weeks (not counting the time that Clarke was in the wilderness for three months). She admits that she was wrong, and she forges an alliance with people that she knows the grounders don't trust. She goes above her people because she knows it's in their best interest, even if it's a decision that will get people angry at her. She knows that putting Skaikru's interests in a high regard will piss off her people, but she knows it will serve them well in the long run... or at least that seems to be her line of thought.

I never expected that to happen and when it did I was literally star struck. This powerful woman, the most powerful woman on the planet falling to her knees. Not only did she swear alliance to Clarke and take her needs on as her own....she was non-directly pleading to be forgiven. Pleading for Clarke to see that her choice at the mountain was made by her head and not her heart. She gave herself over willingly to her. She also proves to Clarke that she will never, ever betray her or put herself above Clarke. (When Vicky next on... whoever sees her next, ask her to add those titles. :blush: ) |
While I collect my own thoughts, I read an analysis on this particular scene and the relation between the moon (Clarke) and fire (Lexa) and the union and magnetism of Earth and the Sky. It's a pretty simplified read and makes a lot of sense!
