i hate domestic violence so much luckily i never witnessed something like that nor do i know anyone in my direct society who had to go through that. i can only imagine how awful it is.

I watched that video of Melissa yesterday and was shocked and saddened to find out. Glad she has a husband who treats her better now. No one on earth deserves to be a victim of domestic violence. A lot of times abusive spouses or partners are so absurdly manipulative a person doesn't realize how abusive or dangerous they actually are until they feel like they're in too deep, either because they feel they have nowhere to go, fear for their life if they try to leave, or because the partner manipulated them into thinking that there's no way out. Too often too, police don't take victims seriously. It's a vicious and saddening cycle

I really don't follow Melissa, but I saw her video. I'm very glad she was able to share and even though it was tough to watch, it is so important. I hope she has a support system in place that helps her heal, even though as she said she will be healing for the rest of her life.

Likely not, though he'd deserve the hate storm and death threats he'd get from her fans. I mean she may legit be scared some of her fans might actually physically attack him, though I really wouldn't mind if he had to live in constant fear of being assaulted.
