I saw the first episode and really enjoyed it tbh. The story seems interesting, the cinematography is nice. I like the atmosphere.

It takes place in two timelines. midwest of the US in 2032 where chloe‘s character lives who is a computer nerd and lives in rather poor conditions and she connects with a sort of avatar called a peripheral in the year 2099 in london where she somehow must help save the world from evil people who control the world there.

Though initially she thinks it‘s just a virtual reality game that her brother gave her it isn't, bc those evil people send some time traveling agents into the past in 2032 to kill her.

It sure has a bit of Altered Carbon as in being kind of cyberpunk and having avatar bodies and also a bit of Paper Girls with the evil people from the future. But it is its own story overall, which is good, it does not try to copy either of the mentioned shows.

Second episode was also really enjoyable.

i finished the pilot yesterday and want to continue with the second episode today.

the pilot definitely caught my attention. the graphics and other things we've come to expect are excellent

but also the plot and acting convinced me so far.

apparently it's a book adaption (surprise surprise) but i never heard of it before!

Yes it is, but I also never heard of the book.

It's cool so far. I'm curious to find out what happened that london got all those strange statue-like giant buildings in the city.

I so wish alycia could also get such a role at some point. In action, sci-fi, fantasy, thriller or so. A show or film that I'd watch anyway even if she was not in it. Like early fear. Bc so far I'd not have watched fear after s3 and laso not watched saint x or lost flowers (even though I'm of course curious and happy to see her in it anyway).
