Bringing this over from the episode thread, my Malec fangirling

Alec going to see Magnus as soon as he got the fire message was lovely and listening to his advice about putting his life first for a change and them finally going on their first proper date!

Malec's first date was adorably awkward and sweet as a first date should be, they had to find things to talk about get to know each other more on a personal level. The pool game was cute and Magnus having to clarify that Alec has never been in a relationship. I can totally relate to Alec in this situation as I have recently had to go through telling my new boyfriend that I never have been either. Magnus reacted well considering he was shocked and was honest with Alec when he asked how many he had been with. Alec's facial expressions changed so much in seconds from happy relief to here 17 then realisation that it was more then utter shock when he new it was 17K!

It was a lot for both of them to process and their walk home gave them time to think. I love that Magnus with all his experience is letting Alec take the lead with how their relationship is going. By giving Alec that chance to think, Alec stopped knew what he wanted and went for it saying they don't care about each others past they want a future together, Alec once again instigated the kiss and I love that it was moving and amazing

Relationships do take effort and they are both willing to put that effort in

Alec being so freaking relieved and then so shocked. Loved it and felt bad for him

I agree with you Emma, I love how Magnus is letting Alec take the lead. And I love it that Alec was the one who kissed him again

I love that they didn't let them have a perfect first date as that's not real. First dates are supposed to be awkward and sweet

Magnus letting Alec take the lead and doing things in his time is the best thing he could be doing as it won't be rushed and we get adorable and hot kiss scenes Alec knows what he wants and goes for it
