I think someone pointed out that this show has never been about the when things happened. The timeline wasn't really mentioned a whole lot so I think it's meant to say these things could happen at any time, no matter when.

Yes

I think the point is meant to be that its been 7 years for them and for us, so that its in present time; because you don't often find shows that aren't in present time and it would be odd to have a revival show set 5 years ago

Posted the following in Prison Break 2017 but felt it could come in here cause I was

over timeline of the beginning of the revival - guess in the scheme it doesn't matter. But the whole "I have one card left to play. Didn't want to play it but its already in motion" had me thinking

The picture that T-Bag received must have been before the the failed attempt one week ago. To send something from Middle East to USA must take time to travel because it would have needed to be sent from Yemen unless an overnight mailing service

Feel like everything from the first episode must have been like a week timeframe where still don't know

if sending the picture to Lincoln with his location was the play he meant, how was it already in motion?

Plus how recently did he get released back into General Population

sounds like he tried to escape within the first week and than was put in the hole. So he's been at that Prison for 4 years considering what Kellerman showed Sara was a murder from 4 years ago.

Plus the comment by Whip about wishing it was just them like the other times. They've been working together all this time, he's been in and out of Prison's all this time until he got stuck in Yemen. Has he been blackmailed like with Sona to get in and out of Prison's. Why?

Yeah, 4 years. Which would be around the time as the flash forward, or at least within the same time.

Well it's been 7 years and he's been in Yemen for 4 years

so he would have already been in this Yemen Prison for a year affiliated to the flashforward
