When I first was going to watch the series, I automatically thought it would take place in the 1800s but I thought the modern day setting in London was awesome! Once I see the 1800s version I'll let you know what I think of how they fit in to the actual time period he was supposed to be in.

As an avid reader of Conan Doyle I thought they nailed it plus all the little clues that something was wrong and that it was just a dream were amazing but i'm totally bias
