He gets to work closely with Jessica on her cases which I like. Although I think what S1 was about, like what Val said, is to introduce his character and set-up on how he'll be a part of Jessica's life.

Val, I'm due to watch that vid you posted on the last page. I'll post my thoughts tomorrow when I watch it later.

Malcolm didn't get much characterization or relationship building with the other characters. I hope that changes next season for sure

I hope so too. I did like the interactions he had with Luke, and also with Robin (even though I didn't really like Robin herself) so it would be great to see more of him with others!

Val, I watched the vid you posted and it was great. I assumed Eka was a beach person just cause he was born in Australia = surfiing.

The family pictures were wonderful.

Yeah, I didn't like Robyn either, she was so annoying. I thought it was rather bold (and noble) of Malcolm to help out Jessica with Ruben's dead body.

I loved it so much that he helped her out with that and decided to get rid of the body himself because he didn't want Jessica to turn herself in. If that doesn't prove he's someone she can absolutely count on...

yes I agree. I actually felt bad for Malcolm after everything he did for Jessica she didn't appreciate it and turned herself in anyway

That was really big of him and Jessica could have been grateful but it's not really in her nature to be appreciative. She's worried all the time and is being haunted by Kilgrave but I do think she's appreciative even if she doesn't show it.

I think so too. I think you need to read a bit between the lines with Jessica, sometimes a sharp line from her should actually be taken as a compliment

and I think Malcolm is someone who knows that, he won't let her push him away.

And Jessica did care for him even if he was just that neighbor junkie. I really hope we get a S2 so their story will be explored further.

[When I was young,] all the boys would play Power Rangers. We had a sugar cane field right next to our school and we’d run through the sugar cane field and fight each other with sticks.
I always had to be the Black Power Ranger because I was the only black kid in the entire school.
