Although I think he accepted Walter's explanation, he still is a bit hurt. But the fact that he talked about how important Walter is in his life shows that he will deal with it and they'll get back to their former closeness.

Hmmm. I didn't see it as their relationship needing to get back to anything, at least not by the end of the episode. Ralph was hurt, but he loves Walter and knows Walter loves him. Plus he understands how Walter's mind works and probably completely understood and accepted his explanation and apology.

As much as I love all the relationships in Hamilton, I cannot listen to Dear Theodosia without thinking of Walter and Ralph.

STILL ME.

I need more of these two in S3. I feel like when they finally have Walter start dating Paige, we ought to get some good scenes with them.

Absolutely. I want cute, fun family outings with Waige sneaking kisses when Ralph isn't looking. And nice Father/Son talks - where Walter asks Ralph's advice on dating.

WeBuiltThePyramids 07-26-2016 08:37 PM

You know, Walter probably still does have more experience dating than Ralph though so.

True - but Ralph has known his mom longer - although possibly not in any way that will be of help to Walter.

I could see him really wanting to help...OR I could see him feeling awkward.

"Ralph, what sorts of things do you think your mom would like me to do for her?"
"Please leave me out of this."

FoxPhile 08-01-2016 03:06 PM

Yes, it could definitely go either way. Plus, I have a feeling that most of the things that Paige likes to do, in Ralph's experience, are actually things that Ralph likes to do. I just think that virtually any free time she has are spent doing Ralph things.

Today is Ralph's Father's Day. :)

I need me some Walter/Ralph.

I keep thinking about Ralph's response when he found out Walter went to Tahoe - "Mom's gonna be confused." I just think that opens up the opportunity for Ralph to talk to both of his parents and help them work things out.

Yeah, because it shows Ralph definitely completely knows what's up.

Ralph is developing into the best of both worlds. He's a genius, with a higher IQ even than Walter. But he's also developing a pretty impressive EQ. He is very perceptive and has a lot of sensitivity and understanding of emotions that the rest of the geniuses don't have. Much more, in fact than one would expect from a child his age.
