If the character is supposed to look like he uses a lot of gel - or other stuff - that may be why. Washing that stuff out every day can do a number on hair.

Elyes may not post often, but his posts are usually so upbeat. Even watching the older ones brings a smile to my face.

Yes! It's like he only wants to put positivity into the world - but it dosen't come off as forced or toxic positivity.

He's done a couple of independent projects, I wonder if he brings all that positivity to his work. Like is he a really terrific guy to work for or is there a Mr. Hyde to his Jekyll?

Hmmm I wonder! I know too there is a downside to always being upbeat; goofiness and refusal to acknowledge downsides etc can be seen as being difficult or disrespectful to the people they impact more (crew etc). I know one prominent Scorpion guest star was very much disliked by the crew for this reason. I'd like to think that Elyes is positive while knowing where the line is, but of course I don't know him myself.

I certainly get the impression that Elyes is very serious about the quality of his work, which makes me think that while he may have a very positive attitude and goof around sometimes, ultimately he can set aside the goofiness and be serious when he needs to be.

I definitely agree with that.

I'm bummed that his new series is on Apple TV. I really don't want to get yet another streaming service.

I don't have any service except Netflix and Sling. I use someone else's Hulu and HBO Max or whatever The Flight Attendant is on. I refuse to buy into all these different services.
