I had to scroll back to remember how Firefly came up.

I wanted to watch the last bit of the finale again today on my break at work but I had no idea what to put into the search bar on YT so I was like "walter paige scorpion finale ending" and the clip is called "Walter and Paige test the Laws of Thermodynamics" and I was just like ah, this is what the kids are calling it nowadays.

I was having a discussion yesterday about how quickly slang changes and we were actually talking about what crazy terms kids can use for certain activities of an interpersonal nature.

When I was in high school one of my friends had a hickey on his neck and when his parents saw it they asked what it was and (he was in a home ec class) he said "it's a grease mark" and his mother said "a grease mark, that's what they call them now, huh?"

The term "grease mark" sounds pretty disgusting, but it actually wouldn't surprise me if that really was a term for a hickey.

When I was in high school there was a kid named Chuck Hickey. He not only got a lot of grief for that, but his first name became popular slang in my school for them.

But of course, Walter and Paige would NEVER do that.

He was so embarassed. He figured being in cooking classes they would buy that explanation.

I actually find hickeys to be kinda...I don't know. Like I don't mind when in fics Walter or Paige gets one somewhere that people won't see, but I'm uncomfortable with visible ones, even relating to a ship.

In my day it was "burned by my curling iron". Of course, if you really did burn yourself with a curling iron - something that happened all too often - no one believed you.

That's probably why it took so long,

But I enjoyed going through the episodes and reminding me of all of the subtle waige moments throughout the years (even when he who must not be named was interfering with waige). They still had those lingering moments. ♥

Speaking of that - fellow Waige fans, we know that Walter fell in love with her pretty early, "I've been in love with you since shortly after we met." When do we all think that "shortly after we met" translates to in this context? I have my answer, and anyone who was reading my tumblr a week or two back knows what I think, but I want to hear what others think before I share mine.
