Hoping this Megan thing, Walter allows himself to lean on her rather than push her away. I hate being a pessimist.

I'm hoping that Walter's reaction to Sly and Megan's wedding is a good sign that he's going to allow his friends - including Paige - to support him through whatever comes. That turnaround with Megan was a really big step for him.

Yes agreed.

I hate saying I really want him to lean on Paige because Megan's death is not about my ship. BUT like, when you're grieving, you tend to need/want to be able to rely on someone. And Walter and Paige have that sort of relationship now, they trust each other with secrets and fears and I really do want her to help him through it.

Megan's death is certainly not about the Waige ship, but I do think it will be a major test for them, and not just as a romantic relationship, but even as a friendship. Walter hasn't had too many people in his life that he's trusted - and he learned early in life NOT to trust easily. He's starting to trust Paige with something he's kept zealously guarded for years, even from himself - and that is his emotional self. So if he leans on her for support after one of the biggest emotional blows of his life, that will be huge. How she responds will also be huge. I have no doubt she'll be there for him, and be just what he needs. But with such a delicate situation, it's always possible she could make an unintentional misstep that drives him away.

Yeah, exactly. Grieving the death of a loved one is something that all couples have to get through together eventually, and so it'll be interesting how their dynamic is through this, especially like you said, he's letting her in in a way he hasn't with anyone else save Megan herself. She expressed concern in TDARAR that he still has sides of her that he hasn't let her see, but he already has let her - and her alone - in places he hasn't let anyone else. She's already a standalone in that respect, and it's only a matter of time before she sees the rest.
