Me too! It's amazing how far he's come in that respect.

The writers have certainly found some interesting ways to use Toby’s expertise this season. He’s used his psychiatric skills to help Cabe, his surgical skills at the Renaissance fair, his profiling skills to help Sly prep for jury selection, and he even got to practice a little veterinary medicine!

Sorry, Nicole! I think it's probably one of those skills that you can either do, or you can't. (I can't either. ) Unless you put a ridiculous amount of time into practising.

I practiced like crazy when I was about 12 or 13, but never could get past tossing two objects back and forth.

We don’t know much about Toby’s childhood, but every detail he does reveal is more heartbreaking than the last. We already learned that his father was distant and neglectful and now we find out that his mother referred to him as “it”. Despite all that, he loved them enough to pursue a career in psychiatry so he could help them.

That was really poignant. We know she had mental health issues so we can assume she didn't fully realise what she was saying, but it must still have hurt her son very much. What I love is that Toby is fully aware he grew up without good parental role models, but that has just made him even more determined to be a good father to Baby Quintis.

That moment was heartbreaking. Even if it was the illness, it still must have been really hard on a young kid.

Toby may be a wise-cracking clown with almost no filters, but he's got a huge heart. Considering all he's been through, that's really amazing.
