I think pictures, caps/gifs from the released material don't need to be put under the cut (it's a S/S thread after all) but we can use the cut for theories. What do you guys think?

i'm not sure but honestly it doesn't matter because the films are only loosely inspired by the comic source material, and the Mastermind character was horrendously bland and uninteresting as a baddie. films are made to bring in casual fans as well as comics readers and non-comics superhero films. if you notice, superhero films never use the phrase 'based on the character...', they always say inspired by or based on the world of so and so, meaning they can pretty much change what they want. a perfect example of badass change, was making the traditional male character of Starbuck, a great Viper pilot and gambler from the 1970s sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica, into the superbadass Lt. Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace, a female Viper pilot and ace hotshot, in the 2004-09 Battlestar Galactica new series. great casting choice!

interesting date changes there, by Fox, and this is both good and bad. good for the MCU as the Skrulls would get their huge storyline and Secret Invasion crossovers, introduced first in March 2019's Captain Marvel. bad because the farther back you push Dark Phoenix, the bigger the chances of direct to video/VOD and the eventual mouse streaming service, and no physical dvd disc. the mouse has already stated that it intends to have all content for the streaming service, to be digital service and sales only, meaning no blu-ray or dvd. that sucks big-time! also, there is still a very real chance XDP may not get a theater release or even see the light of day, if the mouse decides to scrap that storyline and save Dark Phoenix for a MCU future storyline involving their version of mutants.

i still can't believe the mouse owns almost 50% of hollywood studios and production houses. it's a takeover!
