I guess Lito's background is kept vague by the writers. Have no idea why - maybe to make him mysterious. I found this about his character on Wikia.

I know what you mean about the feed. It gets to be so many that you miss a lot. I'm only following Tuppence and Brian right now and will probably follow more of the cast once filming begins.
