Yeah I really love that gifset. Finally watched 1x5. It was so sad watching Lee search for Kara, basically his last link to his brother, but also the woman he's cared about as well. __________________

I think it really was both
 link to his brother but he's most likely starting to realize how much he cares for Kara, might not be romantic feelings at this point that he's having but she is very close to his heart in any sense of either a friend/sister  and then realizing that he loves her__________________

I think at that particular moment it changed for Lee too
that makes perfect sense cause right now its more sibling of brother/sister - we saw that in 1x04 and also here in 1x07 - they've got a teasing relationship now like if they were siblings but then it changes __________________
