I would love to see him be Hook in a movie where he's allowed to be more devious, manipulative and unapologetic than the show lets him be. Like Hoffman's Hook. I Hoffman's Hook.

I like him as the romantic lead but he was really good as the bad guy

I wouldn't mind seeing him as a romantic lead, but I'm of the opinion that being a romantic lead isn't meant for the Hook role. If it was outside OUAT, a-ok but don't do it to Hook. Let him be bad.

I liked how they changed up the Hook/Pan story. Having Rumple be the Crocodile was awesome. I know you don't like it but it's what I loved about the show from season one. How they take the villains and give them a much richer story and make me feel for them.

I would've loved more Hook/Pan interaction. Pan's sass / making fun of Hook was one of the few things I liked about s3. And Robbie/Colin worked very well together. I kept waiting for Neverland arc to show me more Peter/Hook flashbacks and more Peter/Hook/Tink present day scenes rather than walking around a forest for multiple episodes. I don't even mind Rumpel being the Croc. It was a good concept that, for me, ultimately didn't deliver.

They never really said what his deal with Pan was to leave Neverland.
