If think of it not being like the book, then it should make it easier to distinguish it from the books

I do that with all book series that are turned into films or t.v shows, but the movie was legitimately called 'The Scorch Trials' and there was none.. I don't know.. even separating it from the books.. I still had trouble with the overall plot of that movie

I think the only reason I still keep that movie in my collection is because I love Dylan and Thomas is one of my all time favourite fictional characters. Separating it from the books was hard, but I did, and I still wasn't all that impressed

I didn't hate it, but I prefer 'TMR' and 'TDC' over it.

Yeah they seem to have been closer to the books (well except the Minho kidnapping and cure thing)
