Has anybody heard/read a start date? There's no way this can be
released in April of NEXT year if they don't start filming by this April.?

I just heard this spring from a new Jessica interview

Well, they better get started soon. They really don't seem like they know what they want this movie to be lol. I can see a lot of things getting changed while they're filming.

Spring is a bit vague. We haven't heard anything yet so I was expecting it to go into production in summer.
I wonder if the filming will impact Chris' availability for the AoU promotion.

Well, anyway, we have the answer to one of our questions.
This movie is definitely HAPPENING, which floors me anyway.

I was checking IMDb yesterday after reading this thread, and found a link to this article - again, not sure how accurate the info/site is:

Cedric Nicolas-Troyer is calling the shots – having replaced original director Frank Darabont – the Frenchman was conveniently second unit director and Academy Award-nominated VFX supervisor on the original. Producers are Sam Mercer, Palak Patel and Joe Roth of Roth Films, the LA-based shingle behind the feature. Screenwriters are Darabont, David Koepp and Evan Spiliotopoulos.
