Thanks for the interview!

A small part of me hopes that I'll be over Marvel by the time the contracts expire, so my heart won't ache seeing the characters played by other people.

BTW, should we have a S&S thread for Ragnarok already, or better wait some more time, otherwise the Age of Ultron discussion will end up being dumped in there, too?

I don't see why not? We started one at Tom's board ages ago when the movie was announced.

True that.
Alright, then!

Someone bothered to check the screentime of each Avenger in the film, and guess who ranked second to last on the list? Yep, that would be Thor. And considering the fact that the character with the least screentime is Vision and he's absent for 2/3 of the film, not getting the last spot isn't of any consolation.

How much screen time does each Avenger get in Age of Ultron?

For Cap having 50 minutes, it didn't really feel like he made a big impact. And how does Pietro have 26 minutes?!!! I feel like I barely even saw him and thought Wanda had more screen time. My poor Thor.

Steve was... there. I was surprised to see him being the one with the most screen time in both movies because I feel like his characterization and storylines were incredibly vague, I don't know how much I would care for him if I had only seen him in The Avengers films.

Both Pietro and Wanda were on screen a lot, or so it felt to me, but probably Wanda seemed more featured because she got meatier moments and more dialogue.

They owe us a Thor 4 to make up for his mistreatment.

So, did Clint retire? I know he's going to be in Cap 3, but they really made it seem like this was his last mission because he wanted to be around for his family.

They also ended the movie with Cap and Tony as best buddies, so I have no idea how the heck the events of Civil War will be set in motion.

I guess Natasha or Cap will ask for Clint's help and he will reluctantly come back. Prayer circle for his family.

Funny you should say that because that's what me and Sam are wondering about on the Tony thread:

Well, Thor only got about 15 min? But, the scenes
he did have were very important. He is the strongest, coolest,
and smartest so ...
Love that thread title!

I guess they wanted to give the movie as much of an "happy ending" as possible and made it feel more auto-conclusive? (Hulk's disappearance aside)
It will come back to bite them in the butt soon enough, though.

I guess they didn't want to be juggling too many balls at once considering how many characters were in the movie, and chose to sacrifice Thor's storyline because it was the most alien (pun intended) among the main cast's.
The problem is that he deserved to be given something else/more to do to make up for that, a couple of more personal conversations with another member of the team would have been better than nothing.
