It's relative, but far as I can tell my expectations are average. Like I've said, I like Mortal Kombat '95 despite all its flaws. It has a fun, cheesy charm to it.
I'm not into horror, but of the Blumhouse stuff I love the Happy Death Day movies. Honestly, Blumhouse would probably handle Resident Evil better than Sony. The concept of Wesker's daughters finding out about their dark family legacy sounds like it could be interesting, and Lance Reddick is a phenomenal actor, but it's weird that the creators of this show looked at Wesker - an upper class blonde white guy obsessed with genetic superiority - and decided to cast an African-American man in the role. __________________

I adore MK 95, but I was 9 years old and just it was top notch cinema to a 9 year old, lmao. I still hold that memory fondly.

Yeah, the 95' Mortal Kombat movie will always be my favorite. Nostalgia always wins out for me lol. I liked the most recent MK film, I just didn't like them making up a new character and backburning legendary MK characters (Like Liu freaking Kang) to do it. So even though I liked it overall, that was the biggest flaw of the film to me. The First Sonic The Hedgehog movie was good, haven't seen the sequel yet but I've only heard good things and I'm looking forward to seeing it. Glad those are doing great, I loved the Sonic games on Sega.

Same, Cole Young was bland, generic, and took up way too much too much screen time and plot importance that would've been better spent on the existing MK characters people love. They should just get the Shang-Chi crew to make the MK sequel.
Between Sonic and Detective Pikachu, it seems the way to go for video game movies is family-friendly CGI talking animals with live-action actors. lol __________________
