Interesting. I enjoy commentator usually to know what they are thinking when they get stuck at something & to see how I relate. Particularly in Alice: Madness Returns & with Silent Hill games I've found it helpful.

For me commentary also ruins the environment of the game, I just like to watch it as it is but everyone has their preferences.

I like to think there's a difference between guidance tips and commentary. I've seen some people just make weird noises, swearing or making fun. I'm not about that (well swearing is okay because that's my every other word)

Don't get me wrong, i'm not against commentary, I am subbed to a number of youtubers who all who provide commentary on their videos, whatever the subject. I'm just.... not comfortable with doing that yet.
