Maybe. But I think he doesn't what that at all. Even I don't think Thea will want it. I believe he has his own identity now and he doesn't need to use his last name for it. What keeps him close to the reason for being a Queen is QC.

Oliver is my favourite character - even if he's not perfect. Actually I like that about him, but he keeps trying.

Here is a quote from Joss Whedon about heroes that I think fits Oliver really well:

"The thing about a hero, is even when it doesn't look like there's a light at the end of the tunnel, he's going to keep digging, he's going to keep trying to do right and make up for what's gone before, just because that's who he is."

I tend to agree with that. I think Oliver's individual motives have less to do with being an actual Queen in the traditional sense. I think he just wants to have that bond with Thea because of all he's lost, and wants the security and shield that being a Queen has offered him with regards to saving the city, but it doesn't seem like he's attached to his family's legacy as it has been.

And I fully get that. But he is still a Queen. And since being Arrow doesn't get out he needs something to do to be a part of society.
