The Holt-off was hilarious! I can't believe Boyle did the best Holt impression.  Peralta was planning on meeting Papa Santiago for the first time.  I loved that he went full Amy so that he could make a good impression on him.  Jimmy Smits is Papa Santiago?!  How crazy is it that Peralta's mom and Santiago's dad were together on Sons of Anarchy?  Aw, Santiago and Papa Santiago are such adorable dorks when it comes to crossword puzzles. And did you see how excited Santiago was when her dad met Holt? That was so cute!  __________________

^ It was awesome!
 And now you do.  I actually loved their relationship on the show...which is saying something. The show portrayed the nitty-gritty, down-and-dirty parts of relationships. It wasn't exactly sunshine and rainbows for any of the characters, but I loved their relationship.    And now back to Brooklyn Nine-Nine. All I want to see Mama Peralta and Papa Santiago meeting, perhaps at a special occasion that would require both of them to be there.  I loved that Gina named the turkey 'Nikolaj'. I also loved that Gina and Diaz took him away before Boyle could kill it. Quote:

^ Bingo-bango! That was what I was alluding to.
  It was fun to see Papa Santiago kind of testing Peralta while they worked on his old case together. They made quite a team. I loved that Papa Santiago had his own binder on Peralta...but I didn't love that he didn't initially think that Peralta was good enough for Santiago.   I loved that the tension between them helped them solve Papa Santiago's 20-year-old unsolved case. I'm so happy that they are on slightly better terms by the end.  Papa Santiago saying that 'Jury's still out' on him liking Peralta means that there's room for improvement.  __________________

I forgot about the gaggle of sons part.   Now that that detail has come back to me, it's obvious why he would have a binder. He is very protective of his only girl. And let's not forget that Santiagos like to be prepared. Papa Santiago would never meet any guy who was with his little girl without knowing as much as he could about him.  __________________
