I'm rewatching random episodes - it's my comfort show - and the more I think about it, the more I see how absolutely perfect Jake and Amy are. The development of their relationship was done SO WELL, and I truly love how they're not just a couple, they're also friends and partners.

I was watching the episode when Amy goes to a date with the popular cop and it's perfect for so many reasons. Rosa's advice is very Rosa (for Jake to mess up the date to show he cares

) and I loved that he went there but the minute he saw Amy tucking her hair behind her ears, like Rosa said she does when she's into someone, he backed off and left. Jake is a goof but he's also a really respectful guy and I love that about him.

And then the ending with Amy tucking her hair after Jake leaves... I melt

I think the Road Trip was the first episode where it was revealed she liked Jake though, especially at the end.
